Not sure what to say?

I've known Kathleen all of my life and she taught my sons in school. In the last year she was in a group that I facilitate at McLean Home. " Reminisce with Mary." She added so much to the group and we will all miss her stories and beautiful smile. Mary Mitchell/simsbury

Kathleen,
You were a kind and loving friend, and we will miss you and your wonderful personality and outlook on life. You made many others' lives better and happier and will not be forgotten.
Love,
Cindy and Phil Rockwell, Canton

Miss Magowan was my first grade teacher at Central in 1959/1960. She was THE sweetest, kindest, prettiest woman. I well remember how before-her-time she was in helping the few children who did not speak any English or had learning disabilities. She just took it in stride and treated those kids like her own, with love and concern. What a role model! I'll never forget her!

Miss Magowen was my first grade teacher at Central Grammar and I'm 64!! What a legacy she has left. It was probably her first year of teaching when I was 6, and it was definitely what she was meant to do. She was so caring and devoted. It was a 'Wonderful Life' growing up in Simsbury and attending Central Grammar for the first seven years of school, and Miss Magowan was a large part of that and she will live in the hearts and memories of so many.

Miss Magowan taught me to read as well 45 years ago at Central School. I, too, will be forever grateful for her contribution in kicking off my love for reading. Years later, I followed in her footsteps and became an elementary teacher. Blessings to you, Miss Magowan. Your legacy lives on in all the children you touched.

Miss Magowen will always hold a special place in my heart, for she was my very favorite teacher. First grade, over 50 years ago.....she made me feel special, as she did all her students. And she always remembered me when I saw her around town, even up to just a couple years ago when I last saw her in the store. She was a wonderful caring person and touched the lives of so many. I am truly blessed to have known her.

Kathleen, our lives will be a little less sunny without you, but we take comfort in knowing that you are at peace and reunited with your beloved Robert, sister and parents in Heaven. We have been blessed to have you in our lives and will miss you dearly! Until we meet again, tallyhoo! We love you!
