Not sure what to say?

I met Katie through our mutual interest in family genealogy. I'm not sure if we ever found relatives in common, but certainly many names were familiar in both of our families. She was a lovely, kind lady and I really enjoyed knowing her and Jon. Her genealogy work was so impressive and I'm sure she put that same level of effort and care into everything she did. I was honored to know her and I send my condolences to her family. Peggy Debien

Always enjoyed talking to Katie at Lakeside and at home. Appreciated her interest in Art, Photography and History. I have missed seeing her throughout her illness. My sympathy to all of you.

My condolences to Jon and all of heer family. I and several buddies stayed the Martin Cottage for over 20 years during the East Ohio Annual Conference. (1976-1996) We always apprecited this (LKSD Home) and have fond memories. Later I got to know the Martin's as I bought a cottage nearby. Serveral times I listened to Kate's stories particularly about her home town of Moreland Hills and the history there of Birthplace of President Garfield. Thanks for the warmth and memories.

I am so glad I crossed paths with Katie through our mutual love of the James A. Garfield story. She was kind and supportive to Ed Haney and me as we portrayed the Garfields for cabin openings and assisted as docents. She always had a smile and an enthusiastic attitude. She will be greatly missed.

Katie was a one-of-a-kind gal. We feel very fortunate and proud to have had her in the family for over sixty years. She will be sorely missed. Ed & Jane Martin & Family.

Aunt Katie, you were a beautiful person inside and out. You will be missed by many. Thank you for many wonderful memories. Little Katie and family
