Kathleen L. Meehan

Kaye was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved taking care of and helping others. For many years, she was a nurse practioner for an otolaryngologist in Illinois. After she retired, she moved to Port Huron to be near one of her best friends. She loved the great lake and the big ships. She continued her caregiving by helping illiterate adults learn to read and volunteering with the Catholic Church. Kaye will be missed terribly and remembered forever.

To family and friends of Kathleen's which I have not spoke with....so sorry for your loss, as she was a gem and I am sure she passed peacefully.

They say there is always a reason why we meet people. Kathleen was one of those people...my neighbor, the eyes in back of my head, the"Sargeant" of the neighborhood, she was a good, strong independent woman. I took her trash to the curb yesterday, something she always did herself,I cried. She never asked for much help, but she knew my sons or I would be there if needed. She would call me if bad weather was near to put my car underneath the carport in her other parking spot(I did not have a...
