Kathleen “Kaye” Noonan

Dover – M. Kathleen “Kaye” Noonan, 81, of 60 Middle Rd., formerly of Longhill Rd. died Monday December 31, 2007 at Langdon Place of Dover.

Born in Rockland, Maine July 7, 1926 the daughter of Chester and Anne (Kay) Athearn. She grew up in Dover where she attended St. Mary School and graduated from Dover High School, Class of 1944.

She retired from Heidelberg –Harris where she had been employed as the receptionist switchboard operator for over 25 years. After retirement, Kaye enjoyed gardening, going out to lunch, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed nature and feeding birds.

She was a member of St. Mary Church.

She is survived by two daughters Kathy and husband Doug LaCoss of West Lebanon, NH, Colleen Noonan of Dover, two sons Thomas Noonan and partner Judy Stewart of Somersworth, Timothy and wife Anne-Marie Noonan of Rochester, seven grandchildren Scott and wife Tanya LaCoss of Newport, NH, Aaron and wife Meghan LaCoss of Rochester, Dominic Sandroni and fiancée Katie Dobblehar of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Jocelyn Noonan of Dover, Jessica Noonan and fiancée Matthew Moore of Somersworth, Eric and wife Erica Noonan of Rollinsford and Timothy Noonan, Jr. of Rochester, also five great-grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters Cecelia and husband Robert Plante of Rochester and Ann Carabelas of Dover and nieces and nephews.

Her best friend and husband of 55 years, John “J.J.” Noonan, a brother Owen Athearn and two sisters Rose Wallace and Grace Brawn predeceased her.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Thursday, January 3, 2008, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Church, corner of Chestnut & Third Sts. Burial will follow in St. Mary New Cemetery.

Sorry we could not make it up there during this time, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time. We have such great memories of the times spent with Grammy Kay, Pa-Pa JJ and family during our visits up there. We hope that the family finds comfort in memories. God Bless

We are all made up of the love that surrounds us each and every day and i truly believe our parents taught us this love that comes so genuinely natural within all of us. Kaye was a very special person to so many. She was a joy to work with. I had the pleasure of working with her for 16 years at Heidelberg and someone I will never forget.
She touched many lives in a special way. God Bless to her family.
