Martin Clay Nelson, age 59, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024. He was born in Abingdon, Virginia to Homer Clay Nelson and Shirley E. Nelson on June 16, 1964.
Martin loved mechanic work and rebuilding cars. He also had a love of the outdoors, watching football and Nascar; but above all, he loved his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include his father Homer Clay Nelson; his wife Mary Lewis; son Brent Nelson and wife Amanda; stepson Tony Lewis and wife Susan; sister Angelia Flick and husband Shane; two grandchildren Braxton Nelson and Tailynn Nelson; step grandson Jacob Lewis; brother-in-law Kyle Tinor and wife Donna and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the Forest Hill Memory Gardens with Pastor Allen Davis officiating.
