I was shocked to see that Kate was gone. I hadn't seen her in years. We worked at different Title Companies but got to know and love who she was. She was funny, smart, compassionate and loved the sparkle in her eyes! I remember her telling me the story of the time she was either in Charlevoix or Petoskey and let her golden out to swim. Kathy was in our class at West Catholic - 1977 (not 78). She was a charmer - always smiling with a twinkle in her eye. I admired her as a person of quality and as a talented and dedicated athlete. Although I don't think I'd seen her since high school, she definitely left a lasting impression upon me. My deepest condolences to family and friends. She will be remembered fondly by so many of us. We were greatly saddened by this news. Peace.

You were such a good friend during high school! Loved your laugh and always impressed by your ability to eat two Big Macs. I lost touch after high school but always thought of you when I was in the Fuller area. Sounds like you continued to touch people with your kindness and beauty. Rest In Peace my friend.

I knew Kate when she lived in Grand Rapids. Though it has been many years, she left a mark on this community in her younger years as well. Glad to hear she continued down that path and no surprise on the positive impact and influence she had throughout her life. I am glad to have known her and I am sorry for her loss.
