Not sure what to say?

Kathleen was such a wonderful and kind and cheerful woman. She was the sun. I still can't forget her smile. I was a international student from japan and lived with her family for 1 year(2002-2003). Many international students will be so sad if they know kathleen passed away. I still remember I had dinner with her familyevery night. The dinner was so delicious.Especially after dinner I loved to eat the pound cake kathleen made. In the day I went back to japan she made the pound cake for me. I...

For me She was Katy´s mom. so special, so different, so loving. For me, a 12-year-old girl, it was wonderful that they were my neighbors in Spain that year. I will never forget the Piñons and today I still talk about them as one of the best experiences of my life. I feel really sad for her lost and would like to send my condolences to The family

I was one of of three in my family who were fostered by this wonderful woman - she forever changed my life...I Love You Kathleen, you will forever live in my heart, and in soooo many others.

Kathleen was so humble. It was a joy to see her each week at Mass. I miss her. Thank you Ramon.

I had the pleasure of meeting Kathleen and her family while visiting San Diego almost 30 years ago. She left me with a lasting impression of such a wonderful person that she was. Very caring person. While staying with her and her family I hurt my ankle somehow and couldn´t even walk for days. Kathleen introduced me to acupuncture at a local college. Yes, the treatment worked and I am so thankful that Kathleen did that for me. I´m sure that she has helped so many people during her...

I remember Kathleen as a kind, gentle, caring and loving mother coming to my Health Office at Grant Elementary School (Mission Hills) quite frequently. Her foster children accompanied her with their Immunization Record and Physical Exam report needed for school admission. I was the School Nurse at Grant 1984 to 1993 and 1996 to 1999 when I retired. From the obituary I learned so much about her amazing life. I would be honored to attend the Celebration of Life in February. However, I will...

Kathleen was an adventurer and a lover of people and life.

My condolences to the Piñon family. I knew Jamie from SDHS and would come to their home frequently. As an only child, it was great to be in a bustling house where Ms. Piñon always treated me as family. May God bless and keep her and, again, my condolences to the entire family. Matt Stamper

I was very sad to hear of Kay's passing. I have many funny, touching and warm memories. The unforgettable ones have become some my own family stories that I've told my children and grandchildren, they help illustrate what a great woman she was. In 1966 I spent my 16th birthday with Kay & family in Nijmegen, Holland. My mother, Margaret Donnachie and I enjoyed many happy hours with the newly arrived baby Jamie, the delightful little boys, Chris and Tony and we all went camping in Zuiderzee....
