Not sure what to say?

I was not well acquainted with Kathleen, only through email for a few years. She was my husbands Auntie, whom he hadn't seen in many years. we shared our genealogy finds and discoveries. I found out that she was ill and was so sorry to hear that. She was a wonderful lady who put up a courageous fight against her Cancer.

One day there was a knock on our door. I opened the door to find Kathleen and her daughter had come to see us. What a wonderful surprise to finally meet her in...

TO THE FAMILY OF KAY,
I AM SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. MY MOM WAS HER MOTHERS SISTER. I KNOW MY BROTHER JACK AND HIS WIFE LOVED MEETING HER NOT LONG AGO.
I WOULD LOVE TO BE ABLE TO GET IN TOUCH WITH HER BROTHERS. I LOST MY HUSBAND ON SEPTEMBER 1 AND IT IS SO HARD.
I WISH I COULD HAVE SEEN KAY AND HER DAUGHTER WHEN THEY CAME TO ERIE.
I WILL KEEP YOU ALL IN MY PRAYERS. KEEP IN TOUCH PLEASE.
YOUR MOM'S COUSIN CHERRY
BARB GROVE HARVEY

I was sorry to read in the Sandusky Register of your mother's passing. I became acquainted with her a couple of years ago when I wrote to your father. She answered for him due to his poor health. It was so fun to listen to her memories of growing up here in the Sandusky area and your father's connections to Tiffin where I was born and raised. She was so helpful in my genealogy search on the Staub family, the line that I shared with your father. May she rest in peace. I know that she...

From Kay, I discovered that we shared common roots with a family in the East End of London, UK, whose children had emigrated to USA and Australia in the 19th century.
And so as our ancestors left their homes for new lives in distant lands, we remember the life of one of their descendents, Kay, and acknowledge the contributions that she has made to her community and family.

We had just gotten to know Kay, as a person, a few months ago.
She was a wonderful person to talk with, and will be much missed.
We who knew her and loved her, should not mourn for her. She was a woman, and lived the life of a woman. She sailed every ocean put before her, and fought as a warrior must fight. She knew the ways of women, and called no man her master, nor turned aside from any enemy. She will never die while she lives on in our hearts.
