Stolpman, Kathleen A.
(nee Froker) Kathie was born in Madison WI, on November 10, 1942. She is survived by her son, Andrew Stolpman, daughter Amy (Eric) Conkle, grandchildren Michael, William, and Anne-Marie Conkle, her brother Lowell (Marjorie Bjornstad) Froker, twin sister Connie (Richard) Bogue and Nancy Mayne. Kathie was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph and Mildred (Rollins) Froker and her husband the Rev Canon Michael J Stolpman.

Kathie graduated from Wisconsin High School and the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a degree in Social Work in 1964. It was there she met her beloved soul mate, Michael, and they were married in August 1965. They started their family first with the birth of their son Andrew, followed by their daughter Amy. The family dedicated much of their time and resources to numerous community programs. Kathie is widely known for her role as a leader in the domestic violence movement in Milwaukee as Executive Director of Sojourner Truth House.

"Thank you for being our mom and for your unending love."

Not sure what to say?

Amy, My father Fred Kummerfeldt, Kathy's brother-in-law, just passed a week ago. My sister Susan just found this notice of Aunt Kathy's passing. I am so sorry to hear she is also gone. We last visited your Mom at her place in Milwaukee in 2012. We had a wonderful time visiting with her and remembering Michael. My Mom, who died in 2010, was very close to Michael. I remember also staying at your house and seeing his primitive antiques. We still own an old wooden sink that he gave both Veronica...

My thoughts of deep sympathy and prayers of support go out to the Stolpman family.

Dear Amy and family,
I am flooded with memories of your mom and the time I spent with you both. May God Bless you. Kathie was very kind to me.
Love,

I really looked up to Kathy. She made a difference.

Jean and I extend our condolences to the Stolpman family on the passing of Kathleen. She was a wonderful person whose work against DV was inspirational.

Kathie saw there was a critical community need to provide shelter and respite for abused women and children, and in her true caring spirit, she responded. My condolences to her family and friends.

It was a pleasure volunteering at STH when Kathy was director there! Joanne Brue
