Kathleen "Kate" Swift, 85, of Barnsdall passed away at 7:40 p.m. Thursday at Barnsdall Nursing Home. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Ethel Reese Cemetery in Barnsdall with Rev. Jim Johnson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home....

Katie was a very loving woman.I didn't know her well but loved what I did know.I found her to be not only loving but funny at times.She will be missed by all who knew her.My thoughts and prayers are with Nancy and Howard and their family.God bless you and comfort you during this difficult time.

Grandma Kate was an amazing christian lady with a quick sense of humor and a generous heart. We will miss her! One of her favorite songs was "If You Could See Where I Am You Wouldn't Cry." During this difficult time, I will cling to those words and know that she is a better place walking with Jesus watching the tide roll in. We love you, Grandma. See you in heaven some sweet day.
