Read MoreI was just remembering Mrs. Prout from my days as a student at Cal Poly. Our choir performed Rhapsody In Blue, and we accompanied Mrs. Prout as she played the piece on the piano at a concert. She came to mind as this year is the 100th anniversary of the composing of Rhapsody In Blue. Mrs. Prout played magnificently that evening and I remember it to this day. She was a lovely lady and a gifted and talented musician.

I just saw this and wanted to share some thoughts. Mrs. Prout was my piano teacher at Cal Poly Pomona in the late 1970s. I will never forget her. She was an amazing pianist and superb teacher. And even more important, she was an amazing person who sincerely cared for her students. She made a invaluable impact on my life for which I will always be thankful. I love you Mrs. Prout!
