Not sure what to say?

Kathy and I were cousins. She was 7 years older, it seemed like a lot when you are growing up, but we were also a lot alike. We both loved art, and continued to create things our whole lives. I guess we got that form the Saunders side of the family. We emailed more often the last few years through Facebook. She loved my quilts, I loved her drawings and paintings. I know if we had ever ended up living close to each other as adults, we would have been very close friends as well as cousins. I...

Sorry for your Loss Mike, I lost my Father back in November, I can feel your pain

Over the years I lost touch with Kathy after she moved to TX and then to SC. There were many opportunities through the years to get to know her and the family through band functions. We were also coworkers at IVC. Others have mentioned her artistic talents. I have one of her pencil drawn portraits that still hangs in my house. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family.

i will miss you big sister

Kathy was a wonderful friend to me and to a lot of others as well. She had the most gentle spirit and was a joy to be around. She and I spent many lunches out to share our thoughts and concerns over the years and I will always think of her as one of the most compassionate people I have ever known. I remember her love of animals, her dogs and cats too. She had so many gifts to share with the world. Her gardens were beautiful and her paintings were too. I am missing my dear friend today...

Malmood, her husband, and I worked together at Caterpillar in Peoria, Illinois. When we had some dinner parties, the wives attended. Kathy was there bringing good cheer. We still have one of her paintings hanging in our living room.

I'm so sorry to hear of your mothers/wife passing. We met in Laredo, Texas. We got together at least twice a week. I will miss her emails. Sincerely

Like Sami, I was one of Kathy's friends fron Laredo. I was amazed at all of her talents; painting, gardening, taking care of pets, playing bunco, etc. But one of her greatest gifts was her love and the attention she gave to her husband, children, grandchildren and friends. She was there for every one of us. It will be hard for all of us to live on earth without her but we know she is In heaven painting pictures of the little children and their pets. The picture on her obit is so perfect....
