A 74-year-old Pontoon Beach woman and a 45-year-old Collinsville man died Tuesday in separate traffic crashes in Madison County.
Kathryn H. Barkson died Tuesday afternoon when she drove her car into the path of a tractor-trailer, authorities said.

I am so sorry I have to be out of town at a time like this. I know Kathy would understand. But I wanted to express my loving feelings toward Kathy. She will be missed in many ways.
