Kate was probably the best athlete to come out of St Catherine. She was a great role model for our family of tennis players. My brother said that one of his best victories was when he was finally able to beat Kate on the tennis courts at Garfield Park. When I first started teaching Kate was a big help to me at IPS 114. Our deepest sympathy goes out to the Lawrie family at this sad time. God Bless you always. Joe Kriese
