Mu condolences to Kay's family. Kay was a guiding light for me and was responsible for my 30+ year career at American Red Cross. Kay hired me in early 1981 at the Washington Regional Blood Center. After leaving the Red Cross in 1987, by 1989 I was again in need of employment, and Kay once again hired me. That lead to my 20+ years in the Regulatory Affairs department. Joanna Heal and Neil Blumberg send their condolences to the McCurdy family and Kay's extended family. We both enjoyed and were privileged to know Kay and Paul as colleagues. Joanna was Paul's resident at DC General and learned a great deal of hematology from him. We are grateful for having the pleasure and privilege of being their colleagues in transfusion medicine/hematology/blood banking.
