Not sure what to say?

I was thinking back about Ms. Schmitt the past few days. I was thinking how did I finish my senior year without her. Seriously how did I make it. I made it because she believed in me and pushed me. Even though she wasn't here to make me laugh and yell at me when needed I still felt it in the heart. I knew when I was doing something bad what she would say. I knew what she would say to me when I skipped class to go hang out with my friends. I am making it today for her and for myself. I feel...

I recieved my Smith Alumnae Quarterly magazine yesterday and was flipping through it, totally in awe of the 70+ year-olds that they featured in the main stories. My friends and I are going to be like that, I thought, Strong Smith Women--Now and Always. The thought alone made me excited about the future. Then I read our class notes and saw Erica's obituary. I wanted to thank all of you for all the wonderful things you have shared with me about Erica, my daughter. Here I am writing something I never thought I would do. I love you so much. How I miss your pretty face, your smile, and your general outlook on life. You know how hard this is for me to do? One finger at a time. I never did learn this darn computer. Oh how I love you and miss you so much.

Dad

I knew her as a friend and as a teacher, a great person with a great personallity, she will allways hold a spot in my heart and the hearts of every peson who ever knew her. Latin club will never be the same, neither will this world with out her so much fun and so many fond memories. Just remember "Never look back at your past, at what has happened, at the devastation you've caused, only look foward at your obsticles, and run them over."-Joe Blascyk

My last time i saw Erica i bumped into her in Disney World of all places. How suprising it was to be walking along and bump into an old childhood friend. I will remember Erica fondly as my Summer Music School friend where she was a talented musician and singer. My heart breaks to know such a wonderful gem has left us. My heart goes out to her family. Ms. Schmitt and Merideth, my prayers are with you. Erica, If you can hear me, I'm so glad to have had you in my life, You touched my soul, and i...
