Not sure what to say?

Every year I would pick up the phone and have a great conversation with Kathy. Old habits are hard to break. Miss you too much. Love you always, Richard Hood

A dear friend that will always be missed by Richard Hood and Cynthia Gregory, friend of Kathy and her Aunt Katie and Uncle Bun. R.I.P.

My name is Leslie. In the mid 60s, my family lived next to the Watterson family for a few years. My relationship with my own mother was not very good and it was a joy to go next-door and visit with Mrs. Watterson. I had a phone chat with her in 2019 and she remembered me ! I thanked her for being my 'refuge'. She was a beautiful lady.

My name is Richard and Cindi Hood. We were a friend of Kathy's aunt and uncle Katie and Bernard Von Thaer and also phonograph collecter. We enjoyed her company in Warren and Chagrin when we came to visit Katie before her passing. Just called to talk and found she Kathy had passed. Didn't realize it was that long ago we talked. We both enjoyed talking to Kathy. Sorry so late for condolences but we just found out. Love Cindi and Richard Hood. Kathy will be greatly missed by both of us.

Kathryn (thats what we always called her at school) was everyone in the class of 51"s favorite person. She was smart, funny and honest-a natural leader. As a woman she was ahead of her time.

My deepest sympathy to the Watterson Family. Mrs. Watterson helped keep Chagrin Falls the special place it is when we lived there.

Kathy and I were friends and in the same class in high school. After graduation she went to nursing school and I went into the service. For many reasons, we had no further contact until last year at this time. Yes, it was 70 years. We have talked on the phone every week since. I will miss her very much. When I learned of her passing, I thought this poem by Margaret Elizabeth Frye,1932 would eulogize her perfectly: Do not stand on my grave and weep. I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a...

My deepest condolences to Kathy's family and all who knew and loved her. I am going to miss my pen pal. I was a cat sitter for the Watterson's for many years. Kathy was one of my mom's good friends, and I called her to help me find Song and Thai once when they managed to open a door and sneak into the basement. We all found those two Siamese rascals to be funny mischief makers. Ever since then, Kathy and I have exchanged cat stories and photos. Over the years I looked forward to...

Sincerest sympathy to Kathy´s family. A wonderful lady, interesting and interested in others. Loved seeing her determined stride when she passed by on her walks into town.
