Kathy Bailey

The passing of Ms. Kathy Faye Bailey has called us together. There is no death, An angel form walks o'er the earth with silent thread, and bears our loved ones away; and then we call them dead. But, they are ever with us, though unseen. Their dear immortal spirits tread. For all the boundless universe is life; there is no death. The giver just takes back his loved ones unto Himself, after they have wrought such beautiful patterns during their sojourn here. Kathy Faye Bailey was born September 28, 1957 in Luxora, Arkansas to the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Nathan and Georgia Mae Bailey. Ms.Bailey accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and she attended St. Paul's Community Baptist Church in Brooklyn, New York. Kathy loved to spend time with her family and friends, sing, dance, play the piano, and she loved sports, especially basketball and tennis.
 
Ms. Bailey loved education and she was a very family oriented person, She attended and graduated from Osceola High School. Upon graduation, Ms. Bailey went to live in NYC where she began working in retail. She met and married Cornell Burnette. This union gave birth to one child, a girl named Aisha, later on she met her Fiance, the late Ron Bodo, This union produced one child, also a girl, named Nova. Ms. Bailey decided to continue her education and attended John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Law. She worked as a probationary officer for several years. She then decided to switch careers, and attended Brooklyn College  where she received her Masters of Science degree in Education. Ms. Bailey worked for the NYC Dept Of Education as a teacher until her passing.
 
Ms. Bailey departed from this life on November 5, 2022 at Osceola Regional Hospital in Osceola, Arkansas while visiting from Queens, NY. She was preceded in death by her mother Georgia Mae Bailey, her father Joe Nathan Bailey, Her two brothers; Joe Willie Rainey and John Edward Bailey also known as "Coot", and her sister, Ms. Dorothy Rainey. She leaves in loving memory, her two daughters; Aisha Burnette and Nova Bodo, both of Brooklyn, New York; two sisters: Ms. Blondella Davis of Vance, South Carolina, and Ms. Queen Robson-Ross of Fayetteville, North Carolina; three brothers; Henry Rainey Jr of Clarksville, Tennessee, William Rainey (Red) and Lathaniel Bailey of Blytheville, Arkansas and a host of Nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her and she will live on in our hearts forever.
 
Visitation will be Thursday November 17,2022  from 1PM to 2PM with the funeral to follow at 2PM at the Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville, AR. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blytheville, AR with Dr. Moses Black officiating. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
