Kathy Jean Luetkemeyer Ehl

Kathy and I were close friends at NE Missouri State University. She was a very sweet person and a wonderful classmate.

Mrs. Ehl was my elementary PE Coach at Lakewood Elementary. She was a sweet sweet coach! She helped me feel so included, since I have a disability! Also, she always helped me find ways to be able to do what the other kids were doing. As an adult with kids now, that left such a lasting impression. A fantastic teacher/coach can´t ever be forgotten!

Kathy and I had been friends for 61 years. I remember the day she told me she had MS. The athlete, cheerleader, disco queen that we all loved made it seem impossible. As the disease progressed, her positive attitude helped me appreciate life and its minor inconveniences. Then the day came when she told me she was ready. Her deep faith was her only comfort and exit from her suffering. I will miss her, but find joy in our memories and know that she is running again, leaving her earthly body to...

She was my track coach in high school. Lots of fond memories of practices and meets with her as coach. May she rest in peace.
