I will always love and miss My Dear Friend. This is a missive that was sent to me some time ago. Friends are angels who lift us to our feet whenever our spirits have trouble remembering how to fly. Kathy is and was My Angel.

Kathy was a dear, dear friend to me. I was always in her office talking and chilling. We shared a deep empathy for students having difficulties. I will never forget her and have missed her greatly. She is an amazing and caring person. Her door was always open and was there to share her caring and love for everyone. I missed having that lunch date with her after I retired in June and will always regret that. She was there for my retirement and it meant so much to me. We share our faith in God...

Looking at this beautiful photo of Kathy reminds me of her warmth and genuine kindness, and I can practically feel one of her wonderful hugs as I look at her smiling face. She had a huge influence on my first years teaching at Kendall, and knowing that she was there whenever we needed her gave us all a great sense of comfort. And that laugh--it was truly among the best of them! With much sympathy and wishes of peace to her family, I remember her with great fondness.
