Peppler Funeral Home - Allentown Obituary

Kathy Jo Krupa, 54, a lifelong resident of Crosswicks, passed Wednesday, May 26, 2020. Kathy enjoyed a full and active life anchored in her love of family, friends and horses.   She lived for the magic the horse gave to healing people’s minds and bodies.  Kathy founded and operated Horsetime Inc., the first organization offering certified equine assisted psychotherapy services (EAP) in New Jersey.   Kathy was an Equine specialist with Eagala, a nonprofit international association for professionals providing equine-assisted psychotherapy and personal development.

Kathy appreciated travel and adventure, having visited many places around the world, never shy to venture off the beaten track.  She also led a sociable life that cultivated friendships far and wide and stayed well rooted in family and faith. She had a love of live music that encouraged daughter Hannah to follow her dreams in voice and music.  More than anything Kathy cherished spending time with family in travel or in boating down the shore or down the bay at East Point, NJ, their home away.

Predeceased by her father, Rev. George Gibbs, Kathy is survived by her husband, Chris Krupa; her daughter, Hannah; her son, Haven; her mother Kay Gibbs Gura as well as many brothers, sister, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be private with a memorial service to be planned for a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.

Memorial contributions may be made in Kathy's name to The Equus Foundation. Donations may be made online at https://www.equusfoundation.org/give or mailed to the EQUUS Foundation, 168 Long Lots Road, Westport, CT 06880. Not sure what to say?

Happy to have the special memories we shared that will remain forever etched in my mind and heart. I think of her so often and miss being with her. Sending love to her family.

Kathy is in my heart always.

I can´t believe it´s been two years since she passed . She will always be in my heart in many ways . Her love of God, food and tough broad attitude . Big hugs to her family and friends.

Kathy is in my heart and on my mind throughout the year. She left her kindness and caring with me always. I still hear her words to me. How lucky to have had her in my life- though way too short. Love to all the Krupa family. May the special memories carry you on those dark days.

Kathy and the entire Krupa family remain in my heart. I miss Kathy so much. She was a loyal and dear friend who I cherish deeply.

Wow I can’t believe it is a year already. I miss Kathy a lot . I think of of her and the difficulty we are going through . Loss of our business due to Covid , selling of our business building , selling of our house in New England and we are moving to New jersey . This is just a small feat compared to what she went through . Yes, Kathy, we are coming out of Covid . I want to ask her what our next move should be ... She always had sound advice . I can almost here her say, “ Of course you...

I know there are no words to ease the pain and grief of such a tremendous loss. My heart aches for Chris, Hannah and Haven. Thinking of you all with sympathy and love.

To the Krupa Family,

I knew Kathy through her equine therapy program she brought to Garfield Park Academy. It was wonderful to see Kathy and the horses lift up so many of our children. Sharing and teaching the bond between human and animal is a gift that this world can never get enough of. Thank you Kathy for being there for the children.

So sorry for your loss. Kathy will be missed at the Garfield Park Academy by the staff and students. With deepest sympathy, Laura Thomas
