Mrs.Massey,what a great lady.I also remember Gentle On My Mind.She is an example of what you do for yourself dies with you,but what you do for others lives forever.What she did for others will live forever.

MY TEACHER
I first met Kathy Massey Perry in 1964, I was a freshman at Everman High School and Ms. Massey (she will always be Ms. Massey to me) was my English and Speech teacher. Also she was the Drama teacher. Acting was my heart desire and in Ms. Massey I found a mentor, a teacher, a friend and counselor.

She would inspire, demand, discipline and encourage me for my four years at Everman High School and our friendship would continue always.

I was a student of hers at Everman MANY years ago. I remember her smile, her laugh and her great sense of humor. She was definitely a role model to those of us who knew and loved her. My condolences to her family. Rest in peace.

For more than five decades, I have counted Kathy as one of my dearest friends. While we were frequently separated by great distances following our cherished days at UT, we remained in regular contact and had sporadic visits that were always uplifting for me. With every bit of correspondence, it was as if no time had ever passed from the last moment we were laughing together. The news of her passing overwhelms me with sadness.
