Kathy Dawne Ruiz was called home by her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 24, 2010, at 1:20 pm. She joins her mother, Shirley Boyd; a sister, Joy; and countless saints in the presence of the Lord.

Those who will join her at their appointed times are Henry A. Ruiz, who was privileged to have been her husband; her father, Emerson Boyd; her brothers, Dan and Tod Boyd; sisters-in-law, Janna and Wendy Boyd; as well as nephews and nieces, Joel, Breanne, Aaron, Brandie, Elisha, Nathanial, Jesse, and Rachael, whom she loved greatly. There was a special place in her heart for Madeline and Jason Hodges, Stephen and Melissa Ruiz, and the grand-kids, Clarissa, William, and Jonathan. She loved all of you very much.

Kathy's life was a living prayer of love and faith in her God, always looking to help others by doing things for them, and giving God the credit. Her greatest joy was serving and praising her Father in Heaven, followed closely by being married. Kathy's prayer: "That our love will flourish and that we will not only love much, but well. A Celebration of Life will be conducted 7 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2010, at McDow Funeral Home by Pastor Buster Payton. Burial will be held in Ohio.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5 until 7 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2010, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Angel Flight.

At the family's request there will be no public viewing.
