Collier’s Funeral Home - Saint Ann Obituary

Kathy Schrumpf, a devoted sister, aunt, and friend, passed away suddenly on January 17. Kathy loved sports throughout her life playing youth softball and high school soccer, and later cheering passionately for the St. Louis Blues and St. Louis Cardinals, whether in the stands or from home.

She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a degree in Marketing and was known for her exceptional planning, organization, and ability to think through every detail. Kathy brought that same care to the people she loved, especially her three nieces, with whom she shared crafts, scrapbooking, cupcake baking, and the much‑loved annual “Aunt Trip,” complete with clues and surprises. She never missed a chance to cheer for any sport her nieces played, always their loudest and most loyal supporter.

Kathy was an avid traveler, making many trips to Europe especially England, Paris, and Belgium. She had a talent for finding exactly what someone needed, no matter how obscure, and a love of shopping that made her the go‑to person for any search. Most recently, she fulfilled a dream by designing and building her custom home, moving in this past October.

Kathy will be deeply missed for her generous spirit, thoughtful nature, and the joy she brought to every moment.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Colliers Funeral Home, 3400 North Lindbergh Boulevard, St. Ann, MO 63074, on January 31, 2026, from 12–2 p.m., with a memorial service to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Disabled Athletes Sports Association (DASA)   www.givebutter.com/dasagift or by mail to DASA, 1600 Mid Rivers Mall, Suite 2272, St. Peters, MO 63376.

2015 Botanical Gardens

Kathy and I shared many adventures over the years. Most she recommended was my first time experiencing such as Botanical Gardens, spending the day at The Hills, going to many restaurants, and seeing my first broadway play. These are cherished memories and I am glad I got to enjoy this time with her.

We were so sad to hear the passing of my longtime friend, Kathy. We celebrated over 30 years of friendship and family. We rarely missed a Christmas lunch or birthday until last year. A true loyal friend and coworker, gone too soon. May the memories we shared always live on in our hearts.✝

In loving memory of a wonderful person. Kathy will be missed and always in my heart. She loved her family very much. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Karlene, sorry for your loss. Kathy ws a sweetheart and will be missed my many
