I was fortunate enough to bid on and win a playing lesson with Ms. Whitworth at her charity tournament in 2022. She personally phoned me and left me a message with her cell phone number in the fall. Unfortunately due to back surgery, I was not able to schedule this event. I kept her message and phone number. I will cherish this and the times I played on her tournaments for charity.
I hope the Whitworth Classic continues.

You will be missed and forever remembered as a trail blazer in our profession. I will miss seeing your warm and friendly smile around Trophy Club. Thanks for the memories. May God bless you and keep you close to him. Until we see each other again. Simon Hall-PGA

I am so sorry about the loss of Kathy-she made history being a legendary woman golfer and will never be forgotten. The family has my deepest condolences and I pray that you will be surrounded continuously with love and support. As you go through this difficult time, may Almighty God give you “everlasting comfort” (2 Thess. 2:16).

I wish I had known her better in our adult life but she was always the best Aunt. At family gatherings in Jal New Mexico I remember her full of joy always. A very kind warm and giving woman. If you knew her outside of golf, you would never guessed she was so GREAT because she was humble and modest.

Kathy was a wonderful person and a great friend. She visited my second grade classroom several times and talked to my students. One statement that I loved was, “I was the luckiest girl alive. I was able to do something I loved so much, playing golf, and never had to get a real job to make a living. She was so down to earth and friendly with everyone. God bless her family. RIP Kathy
