My name is Frankie Lillard. I lost my daughter, Katie, on August 6, 2007. She was driving the farm tractor and it reared up and flipped over on her. She was killed instantly. I did not know Katie or her family personally. I live in Pflugerville, Texas. I am a weather fanatic and when I read on my phone during school that a tornado had hit a school in Alabama, I immediately began to pray for the students and their safety.
Come to find out, I lost a sister in Christ that fateful day as I too am a member of the Church of Christ.
Katie's story struck me more than any other tornado victim's story because I am her age.
And it made me realize how precious life...

Mr. & Mrs. Strunk,
I've never met either one of you, but your daughter was an amazing young woman. I graduated in 06 and we never really talked in school. My fiance, Kacie, was in band with her and never had anything but great things to say about her. Katie used to come into Winn-Dixie when I was working there and she was such a nice person. You raised her right, and you did a great job. It has been just over a year now and I know it doesn't really hurt any less. I've been there. I lost my...
