Not sure what to say?

I lost someone of irreplaceable value to me at the same time that Katie's time among us ended. I have only recently heard about the sad news of her death. It is my sincere hope that in the years to come, Eugene, Oliver, and all those who counted Katie as a touchstone in their lives will find ways to share the best of what Katie had to offer this world with others and that the love she shared with them will radiate outward, never losing its intensity, never fading with time. May her joy and...

My deepest condolences. I have fond memories of Katie

Katie was also a brilliant set designer for TV shows and elsewhere ranging from Amy Schumer to The Electric Company to The Onion. She was also a world traveler (I'd love to read others' stories) and a big lover of her home town of Amherst, MA, her second former home, New York City, and her father's family home, Nebraska. Oh, and she was also an avid and talented photographer who studied at UMass Amherst and Parsons (?, or was it Cooper Union). (Pic from a Halloween visit to Ditmus Park,...

On behalf of the Palant family, I send our sincerest sympathies to Eugene, Oliver and all those missing this beautiful and talented woman; wife, loving mother, daughter and sister. We were shocked to read of her death, and know that her memory will be for a blessing, as it is said in our faith tradition.
Sending love and sympathy as well to Marina, Boris and Ilya Mirman.

I was saddened to hear the news today. I met Katie in high school during in my brief two years at Amherst High. A teenager from Canada who did not know anyone and Katie and the green day fan club' welcomed me into their world. Katie had a gentle soul
And the best smile ever. And I was fortunate to stay connected through Facebook over the years. And watch her beautiful life unfold. I send my condolences during these hard times. You are all in my thoughts.
Laura.

My deepest sympathy to family and friends.

The deep sadness of Katie's death is lessened by her being with her husband and their son, her dad and sisters as she died. I've known Katie since she was born; knew her family for almost 50 years in Amherst and Rowe. My tribute to Katie's spirit will be playing "Ashokan Farewell" on the violin for her.

I did not know Katie but am also in the film Union she was a member of. She represents to me a joy and happiness I have never obtained. Especially in such a harsh world as props and sets. I am thinking of you and your family. I will try and be happier now knowing your struggle. I am so sorry for this loss.

I knew Katie briefly during the start of my own cancer struggle. She spoke sincerely and reassuringly with me, a relative stranger. I could sense her calm and steadfast presence the few times we met and she was an inspiration to me as someone who can live a full life, full of love, despite having this disease. She continues to be an inspiration to me. All my love to Katie's family.
