Not sure what to say?

I have just had a moment when I realized that I won't see Papa again, that he is gone, and it is a difficult day. Thanks to all who have written kind words in this guest book. Love to my amazing father. Yvonne

As many hundreds of differential geometers I learned so much from Professor Nomizu's publictions and talks, which prove his deep insight into geometric structures and which are a wonderful guidance for students and collegues. On the occasion of encounters at Oberwolfach, Bonn and Cologne I experienced him as a very warm-hearted person. My deep sympathy to his family.

I am very sad when hearing
that Professor Katsumi Nomizu passed away. I had the good fortune to able to listen to Professor Nomizu's lectures during his visits in Belgium,
at the Catholic University
of Leuven, and in Great Britain, at the University of Leeds.
My deep sympathy to his family.

I'm very sad when hearing that Professor Nomizu passed away.
Professor Katsumi Nomizu was a famous mathematician who made
great contributions to Differential Geometry. His death
is a great loss to the mathematical community.

I met Professor Nomizu several times. He was a very kind gentleman who was very knowledgable about mathematics. And I would like to express my sympathy to his family and to the whole mathematical community at his loss. We shall miss him.

Professor Katsumi Nomizu was a giant in the field. I first read his book on differential geometry when I was a graduate student many years ago. That book still has an honored place on my library shelf and is consulted on a regular basis. I never had the honor to meet him in person but would like to take this opportunity to express my deep regret at his passing.

Professor Katsumi Nomizu is a worldwide renowned professor in mathematics. He guided a modernization of differential geometry. He was always a leader who encouraged young students and researchers. His way of study is properly conceptual. My deep sympathy to his family.

Katsumi Nomizu was one of the very distinguished geometers of the 20-th century, he
significantly influenced the evolution of modern
differential geometry, his work was famous for its elegance of writing and the clarity of his concepts. My deep sympathy to his family.
