I had the honor of getting to know Kavous while he attended the University of Oregon. He was very committed to his family, education, and Iran. We both shared the hope of a better world for all of humanity. Kavous will not be forgotten. My thoughts are with his lovely wife Maryam, their two sons, his extended family, and his students who will help to keep Kavous' memory alive.
