Not sure what to say?

Having come accross Mr. Juel's obit just recently, I'm quite remiss in offering condolences to his family. I studied with Kai in the mid-to-late 70's. Late Thursday afternoons would find me stumbling & stammering apologies and promises to do better the next week - I could hardly have been one of Kai's better students, but he was kind and supportive enough that he helped instill a life-long love of music and I've kept at it into my middle age, so he certainly did something right!

To the family of Kay Juel, my parents both worked with your dad and more recently my mom and he were friends at Essex Village. She very much wanted me to express our condolences to you all. She did not have a phone number to call Kay III and would very much liked to have spoken to you in person to express her condolences. RIP, Marilyn Orlito and family.

To the family of Kai Juel. My deepest sympathies and prayers to you all. Kai was my bass teacher 1964-1970. He was also a great mentor and I have fond
memories my lessons and of watching and learning bass and violin repair while
Kai worked in his basement shop in
Wakefield. He will be missed. Respectfully, Whit Browne

Kay, you were one heck of a musician, my father's best friend and one very nice guy. I've thought of you often over the years. Rest in peace.
