I met Kay Lay about 2 years ago at a meeting in Greensboro where she talked about the "I Hear Hester Singing" barn and took us to see it. She was proud of the barn and I enjoyed seeing it and remembering what it was like to work in tobacco. She was a sweet peson and I am glad I had the opportunity to meet her.
