Not sure what to say?

Kay was one of the nicest people I ever had the pleasure of meeting and working with. From Patrol Boats, Dive Rescue, or even just hanging out on the water, He would always put a smile on my face and never spoke a harsh word. You'll be dearly missed by MANY and your legacy will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace, My Friend, Rest in Peace........

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always. I remember always setting up Christmas lights around your home with my husband Mario and the joy it was to be around you when I would visit Mario at your shop. You gave me a lot of good books to read and I enjoyed them all. It grieves my little ones and my family of your passing because you were so generous to us all. Thank you for leaving us such good memories on the time you where here with us God bless you Kay...

During my time with the Tri-City Water Follies, I had the pleasure of working closely with Kay, a dedicated board member and a true champion for the event. Kay's commitment was evident as he diligently volunteered for nearly every Water Follies position, including Patrol boats, Dive/Rescue, Pits, Parking, and Concessions. Even during the off-season, Kay utilized his influence to encourage his friends to become volunteers, sponsors or donate goods, equipment, and services to support the...

Viva, so sorry to hear about your husband´s passing. Sue Gano

Kay had been a part of my life for the past 50 years. His wife, Viva, still one of my closest friends, arranged that we go together to meet him for their first date. I was in their wedding party. Then, at age 40, Viva and I learned to ski, thanks to Kay. He was already perfect! and loved to tell amazing ski stories. Along with my husband, Ray, we had ski trips to Whistler, Sun Valley, and many more. He was injured while at Bogus, and the ski bus stopped in Boise on Super Bowl Sunday so...

Several years ago, when US and Russian Federation nuclear security relations were at a peak, the US Government invited a high level Russian MINATOM delegation of 15 people to visit Hanford to see firsthand US efforts in production site clean-up. The Russian delegation was led by Deputy Minister for Nuclear Energy Nikolai Yegorov, and counterparts from DOE led the US team at the assistant secretary and ambassadorial levels. This was a big deal for all concerned. As part of the visit, we...

I have known Kay sense i was a very little girl. My grandfather Doc Rutherford and he were very good friends and I remember as a young kid hanging out in his boat shop watching him work on stuff while my grandfather and Kay would chat. I learned a lot of cool stuff from Kay over the yrs. He will be greatly missed.

My entire life, with childhood working with him at the marina to our chat earlier this year, is full of so many wonderful memories of my Uncle Kay. From Kay´s charming wit to dynamic personality, there is no mistaking if Kay Metz was in the room. I am thankful to have had Kay in my life and to know he shared my faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. I look forward to seeing his smile again and listening to his stories in heaven.

I had the honor to work with Kay in my current role as Director of Patrol Boats for Water Follies. What a great man he was, giving and just an amazing man. He will be missed greatly. I know he is in a better place now. God Bless his family.
