Kay Frances Noble, 77, died peacefully in her home on Sunday November 4, 2018 with her family present.
Kay was born and raised in Lake Charles. Kay was a graduate of Lake Charles High. She attended Newcomb College and was a graduate of McNeese State University. Kay was the owner and operator of the former Noble Equestrian Center and was currently serving on the Advisory Board of The Salvation Army. She nurtured her spiritual journey living a full and meaningful life, which included being a student of Richard Rohr’s teachings and was a friend of Bill W. for 30 years. Kay was a faithful member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.
Preceding Kay in death are her grandparents Lillie Green Noble and Charles Oakley Noble, Sr., Maude McClendon Nash and Hubert Clinton Nash, parents Frances Nash Noble and Charles Oakley Noble, Jr. and brother Charles Oakley Noble, III.
Kay is survived by her sons Mark Anderson McElveen and wife Teena McElveen, John Noble McElveen and husband Dr. William Felton, Douglas Nash McElveen and wife Amanda Bush McElveen, and brother John Noble Sr. and wife Pam O’Malley Noble; grandchildren Matthew Anderson McElveen, Douglas Nash McElveen Jr., Bennett Anderson McElveen and Julia Noble McElveen.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday November 6, 2018 at 10:30 AM at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. The Reverend John G. (Jack) Myers will officiate with Fr. Don Piraro providing the homily. Reception to follow in Hardtner Hall at the church. A private interment with family and close friends will be at a later date.
Pallbearers are Mark McElveen, John McElveen, Douglas McElveen, Matthew McElveen, Charles Noble IV, Dr. John Noble, Jr.
Honorary Pallbearers are John W. Noble, Sr., B. James Reaves, Nancy Noble, Julie Christ Miller, Jean Jackson, Michael Hickman, Roderick Poole and Daryl Poole.
The family wishes to thank Heart of Hospice for the excellent care they provided.
