Kay Diane Sterling

I met Kay in church summer camp. Pretty sure the year was 1961. Our age was only 2 months apart but due to timing, she was going into 9th grade and I was starting high school. Since we lived about 5 miles apart, me in Dominguez (now Carson) and she in Compton and went to different schools, we mostly stayed in touch by phone (with a lot of restrictions!) and an occasional (well chaperoned) visit or party. Kay's inspirational writings brought caring and love to everyone! She was an absolute prayer warrior, I loved her little pillow by the bed where she would pray daily. We would talk about the bible everyday and with many of the teachings of her mom, my gramma. I will miss you Kay evveryday, you were such a special person, you had a strong sense of right and wrong with the most generous giving heart...Smooches all over your head. Love you!
