Kay Wiegand

Dear Roger, RJ, Betsy, and Susan,
I am so sorry for the enormous loss of Kay. Regrettably, I am just learning of this now. Kay was truly an inspiration to all that knew her. Her bubbly, friendly personality will always be remembered by Greg and myself.

The best kindergarten teacher anyone could ask for. I saw her years later at a First Friday in Mt. Lebanon and she looked exactly the same. I made sure to tell her that too. I do remember going to her wedding with our a class. Many of us still talk about. Please know that she was loved by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.

One of my earliest memories is Miss Campbell, my kindergarten teacher at Lincoln Elementary, telling the class that she was getting married and inviting us all to the wedding. Her students adored her; I believe that most attended. We all proudly called her Mrs. Wiegand the rest of the year knowing that we were part of the wedding. I'm very sorry for your loss and to hear of her (and I imagine your) challenges with her Alzheimer's these last years. I imagine her bringing much of the same...
