She worked at Aspen Institute in Washington, DC and has lived in Maryland with her family for 10 years. Kayla graduated from Robert Clemente High School and attended Ross Medical School in Ann Arbor. Kayla had two children, who reside with their father, Al Schardt. Homegoing Celebration for Kayla will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Ekklesia Fellowship Ministries, 123 N. Adams Street, Ypsilanti, Michigan 48197, with Family Hour at 12 Noon, followed by service at 1 PM. Flowers may be delivered to Swansons Funeral Home, 14751 W. McNichols, Detroit, MI.
