Granddaughter of Cathy (nee Galehouse) and the late Eugene Coates and Susan (nee McNees) and the late Gary Barker, Sr. Niece, cousin and friend of many. Kayla was a sophomore at Baldwin Wallace University majoring in Accounting. Passed away suddenly February 14, 2016. Funeral Service Saturday, February 20, at 2:30 P.M. in the CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of CLEVELAND, 4420 ROCKY RIVER DR. AT PURITAS, where friends may call SATURDAY 11 A.M. UNTIL TIME OF SERVICE. My daughters Mariah And Melissa went to school with Kayla, and were in the same grade at PCHS. Melissa and Kayla were friends. This has been a horrific tragedy. You have my deepest sympathy's. This has been a deep loss for the entire community. Her star will always shine bright.

Praying for the family at this time and the future hard days that may follow...some things occur in life that we will never understand...just know whether it is that butterfly that appears out of nowhere, or that song that is so reminiscent of Kayla that comes on in the oddest of situations.....she is still with you at all times.
