Citrus Heights, California - A beautiful soul born on September 26, 1956 as Kaylyn Songer. Kay peacefully passed on December 12th, 2021 with her family gathered nearby. She is survived by her four children, Gary Bryan, Tiffeny Ayala, Aliesha Gardner, and Hannah Gardner. She is also survived by her brother, George Songer and longtime partner Richard Melliar. Kay was a successful business woman owning the Granite Rock Grill, Rocklin, CA, and the Gold Miner Cafe, Folsom, CA. Kay was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who was devoted to and very much involved in the lives around her. She made many friendships in her community and will be beyond greatly missed. She loved a world of travel, visiting all over the world to her many desired destinations. She loved flowers, and they often were beautiful highlights through all her days. Proceeded in death by her father Darrell Gene Songer, and mother Betty Louise Songer. Her viewing will be held on January 4th 2022, from 4PM to 8PM and her service will be on January 5th 2022, at 10AM, both held at Mount Vernon Memorial Cemetery, 8201 Greenback lane, Fair Oaks, CA, 95628, followed by her celebration of life at Granite Rock Grill, 5140 Pacific St, Rocklin, CA, 95677.
