Broomhead Funeral Home - Riverton Obituary

Our sweet missionary, Kayson Mark Lambert, was called home unexpectedly by Heavenly Father on October 5, 2015, due to undiagnosed heart defects. His 17 years on earth were spent being a fiercely loyal son, brother, cousin, grandson, and friend. Leading by example, he was never more than a phone call away and was a light and help to anyone he knew. A loving, fun, serious brother who always thought before he acted, his mission on the other side has begun, and we wish him well.
He leaves behind his mother Shanna, father Mark, his brother Cannon (currently serving an LDS Mission to Cusco, Peru), brother Connor, sister Kimberlyn, brother Kelton, and countless other relatives and friends that will mourn his passing and celebrate what a beautiful person he was. We will never forget and hope to continue his legacy of love, loyalty, and service.
A viewing will be held at Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 So. 2200 W. Riverton, Sunday, October 11 from 4-6 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 12 at 11 AM at the Riverton Central Stake Center, 12852 So. 3200 W. with a viewing one hour prior.

Not sure what to say?

It's been an entire year. Kayson, you are an amazing person. You were epic in life, and I'm sure you're even better in heaven.

Thanks for all those times you answered my questions, and listened, even when I was slow to understand.

I miss you trolling me.

Rest in peace, Kayson.

I met Kayson through a youth program over the summer. I didn't really talk to anyone until i met Kayson. He was not afraid to unleash his "nerd side", and that's how I found someone who shared common likes. I remember talking to him about an upcoming game, too bad he won't be able to play it. I never got to play with him either. So many regrets. I let you down man. Be at peace.

I didn't know Kayson, only his loving mother, Shanna. I can't begin to imagine how a mother feels at the loss of her son.
Shanna, please know that my heart aches for you, and that I will be praying for your healing and happiness.

I got to know Kayson through Primary, school, and in our Stake Sprint group. Kayson has always been a kind and respectful young man. He would always say "hi" to me, even though I was a grownup. That simple thing always has impressed me because not many young men will do that. I was also tickled and couldn't believe at how smart he is and how he had his whole live mapped out. Shanna I love you and your amazing family. Our thoughts and prayers are reaching out to you and your family.

Love that boy and his special family! My heart is broken hearing this news. I know he's really busy with his mission on the other side but I hope he can pause a moment, just long enough so he and my brother (who is also busy on the other side) can challenge each other to a game of chess. Such brilliant minds! Kayson had a hard time meeting his match here. Heaven gained one of this earth's finest, that's for certain! Sure love you Shanna. So so sorry.

Dear Sister Lambert, I am so sorry to hear about your darling son, Kayson.
My son, Carter is Cannon's zone leader. He asked me to please try to contact you. My email is [email protected].
Much love, Jenn Heslop

You will be missed so much Kaysen. We love you and we r so thankful to have had you in our lives for the last 17 years.

We will miss you Kayson but we know your mission in heaven is an important one. We love you!

Kayson was an amazing friend, he was always willing to listen and to lend a helping hand. He was a strong example unto the lord and I know that he is with his father in heaven.
