Keen W. Buss

I cannot express in words how very sorry I was to hear of Keen's passing. Keen and I spent countless days together--me as a young angler eager to soak up as much information and knowledge from Keen as I possibly could. His contributions to his community, his family and to a young boy growing up down the road are his legacy.

Keen took me to so many places to share his special spots in nature with me--the Juniata River, 7 Mountains, Penn's Creek, Spring Creek, etc. etc. I so...

I knew Keen through my father, Chet Workman. Keen was a rgular at our sporting goods store and would often go fishing with Dad. I have fond memories of Keen sitting at the kitchen table sharing stories of his latest adventure. He was a very intelligent man but was never pretentious. He was alwayas patient with me and would take time to answer all my questions. I'm honored to have known him. My heart felt sympathy goes out to his family.

To Mrs. Buss and the rest of the Buss family: I am so sorry for your loss. With Mr. Buss being such a good and close friend of my father's (Jim Wright), I always remember him being an important part of my family's life as I was growing up in State College. He was a friendly, accomplished and wonderful man, and such a great friend to my dad. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I enjoyed getting to know him and the family and taking care of him.

As a summer employee with the Fish Commission in 1968 I was humbled to take lunch in Keen's presence. He was so well-read and enjoyed so many activities including ice skating at Colyer Lake. Anglers in the Commonwealth owe a lot to Keen.
