Dear Jasmine & family, I was truly blessed to know Keith. I had the honour to work with him for many years at Vanier as a co -conciliator for the prevention of sexual harassment. I will be forever thankful for his wisdom, respect, kindness, and humour.

Our time on Earth being but a twinkle in the expansive universe, our noble friend's legacy continues to shine through his loving family as well as the numerous students and colleagues he inspired in Jamaica, Canada and beyond. Sincere condolences to Jasmine, Keith Jr and the entire Barrett family. May you be spared further sorrow and be comforted by the beautiful memories left behind. Keeping you in our prayers and wishing you peace.

Within his classroom, his department and the broader community, as a founding father Keith shaped the Vanier environment. Whatever the venue, Keith listened respectfully to disparate views, then responded with informed...
