I met Keith as a 16 year old apprentice at Wearmouth Colliery,a couple of years later I met and married his daughter.
Not just a great mentor but also a great father in law.

I was one of Keiths apprentices at Wearmouth Colliery back in the 60's and remember him well. He was a lovely person, always had time for you and a very able Electrician who specialised on the Electric locos and batteries. Lost touch when I left the NCB but was at a Colliery reunion the other week and his name was mentioned fondly as we were reminiscing about people we used to work with.Keith never had a bad word to say about anybody and no one said a bad word about him...great bloke!
