Hronek family, my most heartfelt condolences to you all, in particular to Maxine, Zoe and Sean. I was shocked and saddened by the news of his passing. Maxine, My condolences. Keith was a great man. I met Keith when I started as a student employee at the EHSO at UIC. He would open the door for us at our facility when we were locked out. To The Hronek Family, I met Keith when I started at UIC in the early 2000s, as he was my first ERT mentors. He was a leader and a great teacher, and I learned a lot about safety from him. He introduced me to gambling, we talked and exchanged craft beers, occasionally went to Drum and Monkey, and was easily one of the kindest coworkers I´ve ever had. The University of Illinois at Chicago Environmental, Health, and Safety Office (EHSO) where Keith worked for many years was shocked and extremely saddened to learn of Keith´s passing. I too am a football fan, so I always enjoyed that time of season when Keith, I and others were playing in the football pool. We all had so much fun talking trash. He was truly a good person. My pray to this family is that you find comfort in one another and cherish the memories.
