I would like to say thank you to the Larkin family. I am a Deer Valley kid who was fortunate enough to take part in such a wonderful program. This experience really shaped the person I have become. The Larkin family came into my life when I was 10 years old. I was raised in a family of 9 children, our father disappeared when the youngest was 2 years old. My mother worked two jobs to support us so she was never at home. We as children were raising each other trying to survive.
