My condolences to Dr. MacAdam's family. I am very sorry to hear he has passed away. I never had him in class, but I talked with him a number of times. He was always helpful and always made an effort to encourage me. There are many others who can say the same about him. Later, after I received my graduate degree, Dr. MacAdam helped me in other ways when I was having a difficult time. I will never forget this. He was a good, decent, and honorable man. May his memory be blessed.

Dr.MacAdam was one of the people who truly believed in me at UK. Dr. MacAdam believed in me when no one else did at UK. He encouraged me, gave me a job when I needed it, helped me to study radiation medicine while I was figuring out what to do with my life and was a superb mentor. He wrote a wonderful letter of recommendation when I enrolled in education school to be a teacher. He saw a potential in me that few did. Rest in peace Dr. MacAdam. Thank you for making my life better.

We are sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
