MALLORY, Keith Edward, the eighth child of the late John Sr. and Viola Elizabeth Mallory, was born on March 17, 1955. He departed this life on June 12, 2009 at Saint Mary's Hospital. Keith was preceded in death by his sister, Jean; and his brother, Herman. Keith attended Richmond Public Schools and later matriculated at Miles College in Birmingham, Ala. He accepted Christ at an early age at First Baptist Church of South Richmond. Before becoming disabled, Keith worked at Dean's Food and Philip Morris, USA. He was an avid sports fan, especially football. The Raiders was his favorite team, whether they won or lost, he rooted for them. Keith's loyalty was not only reflected in his love for sports, but truly expanded in his love for family and friends. Each and every one of his brothers and sisters received a call from him each day. He never called without asking about their families as well. He always remembered the birthdays of his siblings, as well as Mother's Day for all the mothers in the family. He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Keith Edward Smith; one grandson, De'Jour Woodson; three brothers, John J. (Leaonead), Wilbur U. (Maxine) and Otis E. (Deborah); two sisters, Frances Elaine Scott and Vashti E. Mallory; two aunts, Vashti J. Kearney and Bessie J. Morton; two devoted cousins, Mandel Sutton and Denita Green; along with a devoted friend, Richard Anthony; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull Street, where funeral services will be held Thursday, June 18, at 12 p.m. Rev. Derik Jones officiating. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
