Chambers Funeral Homes - Cleveland Obituary

KEITH F. MILLER, age 84. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen (nee Caffrey); loving “Pops” to Mike DiMassa (Nana), Keith, Karyn Togher (John), Kevin (Cara), Kyle (Laura), Kristen Pohlman (Matt), Kurt (Sandra), Kelly and Keir (Lori); dear grandpa of 22; cherished great-grandpa of 13;  brother of Brian (deceased), Dianne Wilson (Jack, deceased), Donna Ranker (Steve) and Michelle McDonald (Steve); special brother in law of Marie Lattner; uncle and friend of many.

Keith was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes (Type 1) at age 22 and endured nearly 63 years of multiple daily insulin shots and finger sticks without ever complaining.  He liked to jokingly refer to himself as a “medical miracle” for how long he lived with Type 1 diabetes.  Keith will be most remembered as a tireless worker his entire life.   He was an Army veteran, a proud 59 year member of Local 860 Laborers International, and a St. Edward High School graduate.

Funeral Mass Saturday, Jan. 22, St. Angela Merici Church (20970 Lorain Rd.) at 11:30 AM. Mass will be livestreamed at https://www.samparish.org/ Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of CLEVELAND, 4420 ROCKY RIVER DR. AT PURITAS FRIDAY 3-7 PM. Family respectfully requests face masks be worn.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Edward High School, 13500 Detroit Ave. Lakewood, OH 4401 or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 5000 Rockside Rd. Independence, OH 44131.
