Swartz Funeral Home - Flint Obituary

MORRIS, Keith Michael - Of Grand Blanc, formerly of Dewitt, age 58, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Harper Hospital in Detroit.

Cremation has taken place and memorial visitation will be held 3-8pm Friday, December 13, 2024 and 11am-2pm Saturday, December 14, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Karmanos Cancer Institute.

Keith was born in Lansing, Michigan on September 16, 1966, the son of the late Ronald J. and Mary J. (Grettenberger) Morris.

After high school, Keith pursued a career in radio broadcasting.  His infectious voice was heard on many radio stations like WVIC, WKHQ, and WIOG.  He was living in Charlevoix, Michigan when he met Kristin Auten and they married on September 14, 1996, in Birmingham, Michigan.
On many summer weekends you would find him boating and tubing around Lake Charlevoix, or cruising around enjoying its beauty. He owned Keith Morris Photography, and he helped capture memories for many friends and family.  His favorite moments were photographing Sara during her years in band and Damien on horseback at Equine Escape.

In his free time, Keith enjoyed a roaring bonfire with his family, playing his guitar, and drinking a tall Bells Two Hearted Ale.  When he started his second battle with cancer, he found a passion for social media and connected with many in the cancer community.  Sharing his story and helping others was therapeutic to him.  And his big, goofy personality was like a magnet to all who knew him.
Above all else, Keith was a devoted husband and father.  He will live on in our hearts forever.

Surviving are wife, Kristin;

children, Sara and Damien Morris;

brothers, Brian (Keri) Morris and Tim (Rebecca) Morris;

many nieces and nephews.

Not sure what to say?

Keith and I met through work at ITW. We reconnected via TicTok some time ago where I enjoyed him telling his “Dad” jokes. I kept up with Keith’s post and journey during this time. I was patiently waiting for his next post. Keith was a wonderful friend and colleague! I won’t forget his amazing voice! While this battle was fought hard on life Well Done!

Kristen,
I’m so shocked to hear this and so heartbroken for you, Sara and Damien. Your family will be in our prayers! We will pray God gives you strength and comforts all of you as you grieve. I am so sorry for your loss.

I am still in shock. The world just lost the kindest of men. Funny, generous, loyal, loving and rarely without a smile, Keith will forever be one of my most favorite people. I miss the Charlevoix morning coffee and laughter that followed. We are so very sad. The halls of heaven are cheering right now. Miss you brother.

May the beautiful memories warms your hearts and give you strength
All my love
Kate
