Curran-Jones Funeral Home - West Springfield Obituary

Keith A. Mulvey, 34, passed away unexpectedly on August 8, 2025.  Keith had just proudly celebrated his one year sobriety anniversary, as he courageously fought addiction.  He was born on January 31, 1991 and graduated from West Springfield High School, Class of 2010.  Keith moved to New Mexico in 2019, working construction at Holloman Air Force Base.  Recently, Keith worked hard to earn his CDL truck driver license, driving semi-trucks in the oil fields.  He enjoyed working out, UFC fights, fishing, camping and had fond memories of trips to Cape Cod beaches.  He also was an avid fan of Boston sports teams, as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers, and considered himself a professional wiffle ball player with an unhittable curveball.  But what Keith was most passionate about was his son Amir, who adored his father.  Keith loved doing everything with Amir, especially taking him to the zoo.  Together, they celebrated Amir's 4th birthday in July.  He was predeceased by his biological mother, Robyn Lopes on May 21, 2002.  Besides his son, Keith leaves his parents, James and Tina (MacQueston) Mulvey of W. Spfld., and his sister Allison Mulvey.  He also leaves his biological sisters, Kendra Lopes and Kaylee Lopes and biological brother Kyle Lopes, along with many family members and friends. Calling Hours will be held TUES from 4 to 6:30 PM, with a Celebration of Life beginning at 6:30 PM at the CURRAN-JONES FUNERAL HOME, 109 MAIN ST., W. SPFLD.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the www.opportunityhouseinc.com or Opportunity House, 206 N. Turner St., Hobbs, NM 88240

Jimmy, Tina and Allison, We are so sorry to hear about Keith. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. XO

I´ll always cherish the memories of my childhood friend Keith. We first met at Perkins residential school and instantly became the best of friends, spending hours playing Pokémon, battling, trading, and showing off our card collections like they were treasure. We had a blast playing wiffle ball together, and no matter what we were doing, we were always cracking jokes and making each other laugh until our sides hurt. Keith had that kind of energy that made everything more fun, even the...
