Dear Ruth and family -

I spent much of my childhood growing up with my great grandma, Ruby Draper. As a young child I remember Keith and the "good ol' OP Skaggs". I would frequent the store just to see him. I was only 6 or so, but even then appreciated him for the wonderful person he was. He always had a smiling face and a heart bigger than the store. They just don't make them like him and my Nana anymore. I can only hope that I take the hard work and good values that I...

I just stumbled on the news that Mr.Oborn had died. I remember him from over 40 years ago when our family moved to Glendale. I went to school with Brian and Brent, and this family has suffered some terrible losses in the past couple of years. I have such sweet memories of going into O.P. Skaggs as a kid. I hope the many messages here from people like me will bring some comfort to the Oborn family. I think of men like Keith Oborn as the salt of the earth.

Dear Brian,
I was shocked to learn that you had lost your father. I'm so sorry for you as this is a double whammy, losing your wife and father so close together. Sounds like he was a very religious man fulfilling his callings in the church. My sincere sympathy goes to you and your family. May God bless you.

Dear Oborn Family,
I was so sorry to hear about your loss. What a wonderful person and wonderful memories we have of Keith in our lives. He blessed so many peoples lives in so many ways. I remember how he would call our home and see if my son could come help him make a delivery of groceries to widows in the ward. His love, caring and generosity to others will never be forgotten! He was a giant of a man! Keyes Family

Dear Oborns, especially Brian and Ruth, We are deeply saddened to hear of Brother Oborns death.
